U23 WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS END OF PRELIMINARY ROUND

At the end of the preliminary round Pool A has Sweden at 5-0, Turkey at 4—1, Japan at 3-2, Canada 2-3, Mexico 1-4 and the host France at 0-5.

Pool B has USA at 5-0, Spain at 4-1, Australia at 3-2, Brazil at 2-3, South Africa 1-4 and Malaysia 0-5.

Sunday’s games: Consolation round: 9:00 Mexico vs Malaysia, 11:15 South Africa vs France, Quarter-finals: 13:30 Sweden vs Brazil, 15:45 USA vs Canada, 18:00 Turkey vs Australia final game sees 20:15 Spain vs Japan.

BID DEADLINE FOR THE 2013 UNDER 23 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AND 2014 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR MEN AND WOMEN EXTENDED TO JULY 31, 2009

IWBF at the request of several NOWBs active at the U23 World Championships has agreed to accept bids for the 2013 Under 23 World Championships and the 2014 World Championships for Men and Women through July 31, 2009. This will be the final extension.
